Process Improvement
For any process or part, don’t get these out of order.
-
Make the requirements less dumb. “All initial requirements are dumb.” Test assumptions, find the actual requirements and not stated ones. Why do they exist?
-
Delete the part or process. The bias will be to add or keep things “in case.” Each requirement or constraint must be accountable to a person. Err on the side of cutting too much and adding back.
-
Accelerate cycle time, but “if you’re digging your grave, don’t dig faster.”
-
Optimize and/or automate
